Reflections by Rev. Joanne Anquist - It’s been a monumental week for any of you US politics junkies whatever side you’re on. Thank You Norma M - A number of years ago I joined McDougall and, have been on a number of committees and other volunteering at the church. Now I’m old and find it difficult to attend so very much appreciate the online services. Also, my health is deteriorating, and Norma M is my hero. I’m extremely independent and it’s difficult for me to ask for help but Norma knows that and just takes over. She has taken me for groceries every 2 weeks for at least 2 years and I really enjoy our visit. She has come here to get my visa, grocery cart, shopping bags, grocery list – done my shopping comes back and put everything away when I’m unable to physically do it. Yesterday (Nov 2) she did some chores around here too. She is truly amazing and very, very kind. Norma definitely connects me to the church! Claire M

Thank You from Shauna Kennedy's Family! Alvin, David, Lucien, Theodore and I want to express our appreciation and gratitude for the lovely Celebration of Life ceremony held for Shauna Kennedy. This service has meant so much to our family. Reverend Joanne, we really felt uplifted by your glowing words of Shauna, and your singing was truly inspiring and beautiful. Thank you Tanya for your beautiful music. We appreciate all your help during this difficult time. We are also very grateful to Reverend Danah Cox and all the church members that helped our family before, during and after the day of the celebration. We really enjoyed and were strengthened by all the food donations during this time as well. Thank you everyone. With warm regards, Mary, Alvin, David Kennedy and Lucien and Theo Chavez.
Benevolent Fund As the church, we are called to be a beacon of hope and compassion to those around us. You all know that well; there are so many things we do in our church community to extend care and compassion into the communities we serve. We’ve just come out of our annual stewardship campaign, where we have been able to read and hear about many of the meaningful expressions of ministry that are faithfully offered by our church community.
