2025 Stewardship Campaign: Testimonial 3, Stephanie

During our 2025 Stewardship Campaign we will be sharing Testimonials from some of our members. We hope that you enjoy them!

Stephanie Hawes

What stewardship means to me is actively engaging in a community's well-being and development, fostering connections among its members, and taking responsibility for shared spaces and resources. It’s about recognizing the value of collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability. My involvement in the organization and implementation of the Camp Kasota family weekend provided an opportunity to build relationships and encourage cooperation among community members to create a supportive and collaborative environment. I enjoyed the opportunity to nurture a sense of belonging and be a part of bringing people together. The events of the weekend enhanced relationships, trust, and collaboration as we worked together to create meals, make art, learn new things, and provide support for each other. It lifts my spirit to see acts of kindness and connection and to see people helping each other, sharing smiles with new friends, and witnessing the joy that creativity can inspire. These qualities are abundant in the activities and events that McDougall provides and they are the reason why I am proud to be a part of this community.
