Welcome to Choir Conductor Justin Macosky
Justin will start meeting with the choirs starting September 8. While Tanya is away, he will be using recorded music for the practices or we will hire a substitute for Tanya.
Justin comes to us with enthusiasm and lots of great ideas for the choir. He and Tanya are excited about working together. His experience includes the Airdrie Community Choir and Hillhurst United Church. It is from his work at Hillhurst that he knows our own Rev. Joanne, so she is excited to have him join our team. His contract will go until the end of December, with the possibility of extension.
If you are interested in either singing with the McDougall Singers (the mixed choir), they will meet at 6PM on Thursdays starting September 8, or Sonica (the Ladies choir), they will meet on Thursdays at 7:30 (except prior to the last Sunday when Collective Spirit meets). It would be extremely helpful if we could get an idea on what numbers to expect on September 8, please let us know you are coming by signing up:
Peggy Jorgensen has spoken to most of the people possibly interested in choir but we are excited that there may be new people joining us.
