Meet Your Leadership Council: Barrie Clayton – Chair of the Board of Trustees, Co-Lead Property Working Group

Over the next weeks, we are going to be introducing you to an amazing and hardworking group of people here at the church, your leadership council! This is the group that governs the church and makes decisions around: Vision, mission, and strategic planning, Policy development and organizational oversight, Annual budget, Reporting to the Congregation, Relationship with the Chinook winds regional Council and the UCC General Council and Pastoral relations.

We hope that you enjoy learning more about them!

Meet Barrie Clayton – Chair of the Board of Trustees, Co-Lead Property Working Group

Barrie and Carol Clayton have been attending McDougall for about 43 years.

My hopes for McDougall are that we continue to provide spiritual nurture, pastoral care, and community services to our members and the community neighbors, and to provide assistance to other Communities of Faith.

I would like to see McDougall assist Ogden UC transition to their new ministry and become a partner in that ministry.

I joined Leadership Council to know what's going on in the church and provide support and guidance in governance.

McDougall is a stable, progressive, and supportive congregation engaged with the personal needs of its members and active in helping others - Seeking wholeness in Christ, sharing God's Love.
