LINKages Wrap Up - With Pictures

What an incredible experience to bring our LINKages Club to McDougall United Church in collaboration with Lord Beaverbrook High School.

A thunderous round of applause to the 9 seniors and 20 enthusiastic students for their dedication to spend time together every Friday after school for the past eight months. All the participants exemplified the true spirit of this intergenerational program.

The fantastic students on the leadership team were the backbone of the club, leading by example and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. They’ve set the bar high for future leadership teams. They of course were empowered by the support of their liaisons – Ms. McIntosh at the school and Danah Cox at the church.

Magic happened throughout the program. Friendships were forged across generations, stereotypes were shattered and a genuine sense of understanding and respect blossomed. Together the seniors and youth created a beautiful tapestry of intergenerational bonds. The world needs more programs like this where young and old can come together, learn from each other and create a better future.

My heart is full of joy and gratitude. Let’s keep spreading the magic of intergenerational unity and make the world a better place for everyone.

Stay connected, stay inspired and keep making a difference.
