Acadia Food Pantry had its second busiest day on record

Thanks to everyone who helped out the Acadia Pantry on November 15, 2022, we had its second busiest day on record. Attached is a chart that provides details on how many we have served since the beginning of the year.

An updated version of the information sheet that is provided to prospective volunteers can be found here. Please share it with anyone who is interested in learning more about the pantry.

If you want to learn more about food insecurity in Canada, please check out this 2021 study from the University of Toronto. I was surprised to learn that Alberta was the most food-insecure province in Canada last year. https://proof.utoronto.ca/food-insecurity/

Our next pantry distribution date will be December 20.

Blessings to you all,

Donna
