2022 - Q1 First Quarter Report Ministry and Personnel

This has been a busy quarter for our staff Ministry and Personnel and the leadership team.  

The Ministry and Personnel Working Group membership for 2022 is myself, Peggy Jorgensen (Lead), Marilyn Bates (member), Mari Crozier (member), Marjorie MacRae (HR Consultant) and Margaret Holden-Scott (HR consultant).

As M&P Lead, I reviewed and updated a new service contract for the Contemporary Music Leader (Tanya Wan Lim) from January to August 31, 2022. 

I worked more on the Working Group that conducted a review of our administrative staffing and processes that is helping us to make more efficient and effective use of available resources.  We are reviewing the changes that were made and working to determine if there are additional changes required.

Marilyn Bates and myself have been working with different groups to assess the staffing needs for Joanne’s upcoming Sabbatical (May – July, August holidays).  This has included conversations with Chinook Winds, Danah Cox, plus the working group.  We will be writing a temporary job description for Rev. Cox as he moves into a full time position for the four months.  He will be doing additional Pastoral Care and Administrative work.  We will be having a summer student starting in June.  He will work 30 hours/ week.  His focus will be on youth and children, plus helping out with the outreach programs.  His job description is being written also.  He will also be doing the family Support Worker role while he is here (12 hours/month).

We are starting to prepare for doing staff reviews.
