Obituary of Marion Enta

Our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend, Marion, passed away in care, June 14.  She would be celebrating her 93rd birthday later this month.  She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Chet Chan and Keiko).  She is pre-deceased by husband Tom and daughter Maureen (Tom Elwood, Sarah & Jayne) 

Anyone who knew Marion knows she was a petite woman, always cheerful but determined and driven.  She was inviting and hospitable, even did so in her final years inviting her visitors to share a meal with her.  Her infallible memory, radiant smile, and love of both her McDougall and medical friends, always made those around her, feel special, valued and loved.

As a young woman, she worked at her family’s printing company, as a stenographer at an oil company and then as a microbiologist before giving up her career to focus on her family.   Her travels with husband Tom, both for career and leisure took her many places and allowed her unique experiences. There is nothing Marion was more proud of in life than her children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to McDougall United Church (403-252-1620) Education Scholarship Fund, to contribute toward her legacy of encouraging youth in their pursuit of higher education.
