Joy will be sadly missed by her two children Karen Werschke (Graham Werschke), and Paul Bekker (Jennifer Bekker); her six grandchildren Kyla Werschke (Terran Bernhard), Breanna Lockert (Cody Lockert), Lucas Bekker, Joel Bekker and Gillian Bekker; and her two great-grandchildren Liam and Lilly Lockert. She will also be missed by her sisters Linda Johnson (Bruce) and Anne Bang (Mark) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joy was predeceased by her husband's David Bekker and Colin Austin; and by her grandchild Kira Bekker.
Joy was most happy surrounded by her family and friends at events and holidays. Many of us will have fond memories of Joy's chocolate chip cookies paired with beer or your favorite beverage. Or perhaps sneaking the cookies from the freezer. Joy always had time to chat. She took the time to learn your life story and all your family members names. If she caught you, and you had time, Joy would share every picture of her family that she carried with her.
