WANLESS, Dorothy D.
June 3, 1922 - May 7, 2013

Dorothy passed away quietly and peacefully in her sleep. She lived a very long and full life, but in the end, she was, in her own words, "tired". Wilkie and Dorothy travelled the world together from Hawaii to England, throughout Europe, and from Australia to Hong Kong. She loved her golf, her bridge games, entertaining and caring for their Willowpark home for over thirty-five years. After surviving a bout with cancer, Dorothy moved into the Beverly Care Centre Lake Midnapore. There she enjoyed reading, writing her notes, playing bingo and spending time with special friends and looking forward to the consistent and welcome visits from Dorothy Hawkes. She will be deeply missed by her three sons, Dale of Ontario, Marty of British Columbia and Gary (Nancy) of Alberta; grandchildren, Ethan, Cory and Leissa (Jamie); and great- grandchildren, Madison, Samantha and Tyler. Dorothy was one of nine children and is survived by a younger sister as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Wilkie in 2010, her husband of sixty-three years. A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, May 27, 2013
