Support for Ukrainian Refugees and Help for Ukraine

If you are wanting to help the people of Ukraine but you are unsure of where to start, here are some good places.

If you would like to make a financial donation: 

Click on https://eeparchy.com/donate.  This is the site for the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton. All donations up to $1.25 million will be matched due to the generous support of four generous families form Alberta, the Parish of St. Stephen in Edmonton and Crystal Glass. Tax receipts will be sent immediately.  Funds will be allocated directly, without administration costs, to identified projects such as medical items in Ukraine but also to provide for the settlement of Ukrainian refugees in Alberta. 

If you wish to donate items:

Go to stvlads.com which is the website for St. Vladimr’s Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor in Calgary and click on Help Ukraine, then click on After Arrival Support for refugees. You will see a list of the items in greatest need. 

If you wish to offer accommodation:

On the same site stvlads.com, click on Housing for Refugees.  

Alternatively you can click on the site for the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – www.ucc.ca and fill out a form identifying what type of support you wish to provide and someone will get back to you.  

The need is great. In Calgary St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church and St. Vladimir are heavily engaged in this work.
