Travel Update from Daren and Denise P: “To Travel is to Live”
During the better part of November, we were very fortunate to have had the opportunity along with our good friends to take a twenty-day Caribbean cruise on Holland America’s newest ship the Rotterdam and escape the cold weather here in Calgary.
Our adventure began in Fort Lauderdale where we were delayed departing by a day because of Hurricane Nicole. We were blessed to visit the following islands during our cruise, Grand Turk, Barbados, Martinique, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Thomas, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and the ABC islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Each island is a place of beauty both in its natural surroundings and the culture. We were able to enjoy a variety of sights, taste the local cuisine, snorkel, and swim in the warm waters of the Caribbean. The following pictures are but a sample of all that we were able to see and do.
During the December 4, 2022 service we were thrilled to baptize Cordelia and Dezirae and welcome them to our faith community. They were visiting from Australia, along with their parents and have connections to our church. You can see a few photos below. If you want to watch the baptism, you can view the service here.
I can’t be the only person who is excited to see our choir sing. Here are some photos from the Dec 4 service.
On December 10 families got together to assemble and decorate Gingerbread Houses and to enjoy a ham dinner. You can see pictures here.
