Stewardship Children’s Program
Donelle:
“Hi, my name is Donelle Elliott and I do the Sunday Morning Children’s Program here at McDougall United Church. We are doing Godly Play, we are doing story time, sometimes playing games like Tenzies or Yahtzee. So we even actually baked one afternoon because that was something they were really wanting to do. We made pizzas too. Or another little thing was making a wood craft. So there’s lots of different things here at McDougall that we like to do and if you’d like to join us we would love it.”
Kelsey:
“Hi, my name is Kelsey. I have 2 kids, Erica who is 5 and James who is almost 2. And on Sunday mornings we take part in the Children’s Program here at McDougall over Zoom with our leader Donelle. Erica really looks forward to it every week. The kids have done so many different activities together. They’ve done colouring and crafts, they’ve done scavenger hunts and played dice games together. They talk about current events and bible stories and they read picture books together and they’ve even baked really great way for my kids to stay connected to our faith community here at McDougall. We’ve also been exchanging letters with a few members of the congregation which is a fun way to stay part of each other’s lives. I’m excited to continue to participate in children’s programming over the next year, to help my kids learn about our faith and our community here at McDougall and to continue to find new ways to build connections.”
