2024 Stewardship Campaign: Testimonial 5, June Clarke

During our 2024 Stewardship Campaign we will be sharing Testimonials from some of our members. We hope that you enjoy them!

June Clarke

McDougall United Church is a welcoming and inclusive church. As a new member I was quickly welcomed into the fold.

I like to volunteer as my way to give back to the Church. It is a wonderful way to feel connected, but also feel self-worth.

I am so grateful for the many opportunities available to get involved, including the Acadia Food Pantry, which is a much needed support run by the partnership of Mc Dougall and Christ Moravian Church. In today's world we never know when the tables may turn and we find ourselves needing support like this. I am so grateful to Mc Dougall and Christ Moravian, together with all of the volunteers that help make this possible.

I love that Mc Dougall plays a big part in Outreach and Social Justice. The Refugee committee helps families new to Canada find their feet, offering support, guidance and friendship. Open table (Messy Church) events bring more community connections with fun and food. Intergenerational club connects youth and mature adults to build understanding, learning, respect and friendships.

I hope that Mc Dougall can continue with, plus expand upon Outreach, support and making connections in the future.
