2023 Stewardship Campaign: Testimonial 5, Paula Sangster

During our 2023 Stewardship Campaign we will be sharing Testimonials from some of our members. We hope that you enjoy them!

Paula Sangster

McDougall United was founded more than 60 years ago. I am so proud of its resiliency and willingness to adapt and grow with changes in society. We, as congregation feel it is not enough to be a welcoming place but need to also be an inclusive place to gather and connect for all people, regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious orientation and abilities to mention a few.

Messy Church allows for families with young children to share a meal and activities at no cost, live theatre open to the wider community for participation and entertainment, youth group, community concerts, mom's time out, cooking classes, events highlighting Indigenous traditions and reconciliation, support for the Acadia Food Pantry, support for parents who are home schooling their children and many more. We also provide a variety of different worship styles and options acknowledging that faith can be expressed in different ways.

McDougall, has been a beacon of light and hope for more than 60 years. May its light shine even brighter and reach still farther bringing hope to a world in need of both.

Respectfully submitted,

Paula Sangster
