Lilia Chavez

I have been attending McDougal events and services since my family moved to Calgary in 2018. They welcomed us with open arms, and gave us a community to be a part of. When our family started struggling, we found ourselves surrounded by love and support from every side of the church. It gave us a beacon of hope in our trying times, and for that we are eternally grateful. My favourite part of McDougall is knowing how so many other people have been supported in the same way that we have, and how even more will be in the future. We were able to be a part of a community through the services and activities, and I got to strengthen and build up skills through volunteering. I couldn't list all the things I love about McDougall, but the best part to me are the people that make it what it is.
