2023 Leadership Council

Thank you to all those who have volunteered to participate on the Leadership Council this year, especially our new members-at-Large Margaret Holden Scott, Leslie Stoddart and Esther Petersen. Welcome on board!

Thank you to the following council members who are stepping down from Council this year:

 Tara Jorgensen, Affirming Vision Team Lead: Thank you to Tara Jorgensen for her participation on Council since 2018, as McDougall’s Affirming Chair/Lead and as Council Co-chair in 2021. Tara has provided steadfast leadership for McDougall’s Affirming Vision Team as well as the expertise and confidence needed when Council and congregational meetings moved online during the pandemic. She will be missed. Council is seeking both a new Affirming Lead as well as a third Co-chair of Council.

Claire Myers, member-at-large: Claire Myers, the longest-serving Member-at-Large on the Leadership Council, has stepped down from that position. During her more that 3 years in the position, Claire served on several Council Working Groups and participated regularly as the Member-at-Large on the Operations  Meetings. Heartfelt thanks to Claire for willingness to serve McDougall in this way. All the very best to Claire as she settles into her new community.

Pat White, Member-at-Large: In the two years that she served as a member-at-large on the McDougall Council, Pat White managed to attend meetings  whether in Calgary or down in Mexico, thanks to Zoom! Pat participated on Council’s Pilot Review Working Group, filled the rotating Members-at-large on Operations position as well as the Operations Convenor role for several months. Thank you Pat!
