Helen and Ed lived in Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC, before moving back to Alberta. In 1969 they moved to Calgary, where she resided until her death.

Helen was a member of Eastern Star and served with the Mothers of Demolay. She was a member of a bowling league at Chinook Mall and she and Dad curled for many years and established many lasting friendships. She was loved and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Helen loved her family and was never happier than when children or grandchildren were coming over, for a meal or to spend the weekend. Holidays and birthdays were always celebrated with joy and plenty of food.
