HYDE, Eva Mary
August 18, 1927 – Virden, MB
July 5, 2015 – Calgary, AB

Eva Mary Hyde (nee Sadler) of Calgary died peacefully at her home on July 5, 2015 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her beloved husband Murray Cecil Hyde, Eva was known for her elegant grace and proud determination. She was much admired for the perseverance she showed in her lengthy battle with cancer, repeatedly outlasting all predictions. Throughout her busy life, Eva loved extensive travels with family, golf at the Earl Grey and the Wigwam and Flames games with Murray, cards with the "Bridge Gals", and bowling and curling at the Glencoe Club where she would proudly point to her (1978) curling victory still displayed on the Club Champions board to this day. Eva is survived by children: her son Ron Hyde of Toronto; her daughter Jane Hyde of Charlottetown; her siblings, sister Neta deVette of Gananonque; brothers Gordon Sadler of Swan River and Bob Sadler of Victoria; her grandson Taylor Hyde Bransfield (Jane's son); extended family Colin Andersen, Edgar Penaloza, Fabiola Penaloza and Brian Bransfield; her granddaughter Ana Sofia (Ron's daughter); and Diego and Fercho, to whom Eva was Nana; devoted niece Briunn Sadler for whom Eva had a special place in her heart; nephew Doug Sadler and his wife Dr. Michele Burns, and an abundance of friends and family. Dr. Jayne Hague and Dr. J. W. Henning provided wonderful care to Eva. Ron and Jane wish to extend a particular thank you to Carol Boeth for her love and at-home care these past eight months, also to Dr. Michele Burns for her love and care of Mom and Dad throughout the years and her commitment to their family.

As Eva's spirit has taught us -
persevere, keep going, stay strong.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
Time for me to leave you,
I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky,
In the evening sunset, w
hen all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me,
and I'll be close to you.
