SUTTON, Howard Spencer
January 10, 1922 - May 18, 2011

Born in Owen Sound, Ontario; Howard became an accomplished hockey/baseball athlete/coach and journeyman Machinist. At twenty he joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and fought in WWII and Korea. From 1952 on, he lived fully with his beloved partner Bette and their three children. He provided for his family working thirty-eight years with the CPR and ten additional years as Regional General Chairman CP/CN faithfully representing 2800 men. He was predeceased by spouse Elizabeth (Betty) September 2010; son, William (Bill) February 1995 and siblings Fred, Norm and Marjorie. He is survived by his constant companions - daughters, Elizabeth (Torry) and Norma (Barry); treasured grandchildren, Sherrisse (Dan), Cory, Alyssa, Brandi-Lynn and Spencer and was cherished father to daughter-in-law Gail (Rudy). Howard's unending courage and perseverance in adversity, sense of humour, appreciation of nature, quiet steadiness and love of family are gifts for us, forever. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the McDougall United Church
