Joyce Joslin

Joyce Joslin passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the age of 86 years. Joyce was born in Drumheller and raised in the Drumheller Valley. In 1947, Joyce married the love of her life Herb, initially settling in East Coulee and Western Monarch. In 1948, they were blessed with a daughter Joy and then a son Kim in 1958. After living in Oyen, Fort Macleod and Brooks, they eventually moved to Calgary in 1968. Joyce and Herb spent several family fun-filled vacations trailering and boating in Penticton, wintering in Hawaii and visiting their daughter on Vancouver Island. Joyce's immediate and extended family was always the most important part of her life. As an original member of the Family Leisure Centre, she enjoyed fitness classes, lifting weights, working out on the treadmill and meeting many lifelong friends. She remained physically active all her life and continued to exercise right up until her passing. Joyce is lovingly remembered by her son Kim (Cathy); grandson Kevin; granddaughter Stacey Brown (Ryan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her husband Herb; daughter Joy; grandson Nathan; and by two brothers and two sisters and their spouses. Funeral Services will be held at McDougall United Church (8516 Athabasca Street S.E.) today, March 15, 2013
