OBITUARY OF CORRINE MAE INNES
November 3, 1925 – Edmonton, AB March 16, 2017 – Calgary, AB
Corrine Innes of Calgary passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Corrine was born in Edmonton to parents Albert and Agnes Haukedal of Tofield, Alberta. She received her primary education in Bardo and Tofield and went on to further education in Edmonton where she received her teaching certificate in 1943. Four years later she married Jack Innes and together they raised two daughters and moved throughout Alberta, settling in Calgary in 1968. Music was her love; she enjoyed playing the piano or organ whether at home or church. She will be remembered for being an elegant, dignified lady who enjoyed her family and numerous friends. Corrine is survived by her two daughters, Carol Hedlo (Jorn) and Susan Harris (Ray), her sister Eula Regehr. She also leaves four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Corrine was predeceased by her husband Jack of fifty-four years, her parents Agnes and Albert Haukedal and nephew Warren Regehr.
