LANGILL _ Florence Gertrude (nee Hartley)
January 23, 1907 - March 30, 2006

Florence (Floss) Langill passed away peacefully after a long illness, Thursday evening March 30, 2006 at the age of 99 years. She was born January 23, 1907 in Stonewall, Manitoba and came to Calgary in 1926 where she met her husband Winston, moved to South Turner Valley in 1929 where they resided until 1962. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her husband of seventy-six years, Winston, Calgary; daughter Barbara (Max) Porter, Okotoks; son Frank, Bassano. She will also be mourned by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as her four sisters, Wynne Clarke, Dorothy North, Rita Alldread and Willa Mogk all of Carmen, Man. She was predeceased by her daughter Persis in 1991, her sister Kathleen Randolph in 2002 and her brother George Hartley in the late 1980's. Florence was a member of McDougall United Church, Fish Creek Seniors, and the Turner Valley Oilfields Golf Club. She was a long-time member of the Order of The Eastern Star attaining the rank of Past Worthy Matron of Occidental Chapter No. 12, High River. Flossie will be remembered for her love of family and friendship and in the associations of which she belonged, her long walks, travel and her smile for everyone. A Memorial Service will be held at McDougall United Church, 8516 Athabasca Street S.E., Calgary (Telephone 252-1620) on Monday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m., The Rev. Bryan Derksen officiating.
