Ann Dowse

DOWSE, Ann Stiven (nee Gibson) August 28, 1935 - Cork, Ireland May 9, 2018 - Calgary, Alberta Celebration of Life Announcement Ann, beloved wife of Brian Dowse of Calgary, AB, passed away on May 9, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Ann was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. Born in Ireland in 1935, Ann was the eldest of four children. She immigrated to Canada in 1964, and through her life she lived in various cities in Ireland, Canada, England, Ethiopia and the Philippines. She passed away in Calgary, her home for over thirty-five years, in May 2018. Ann is survived by her loving husband Brian; her children, Susan (Bryan) and Michael (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Wilson, Isabelle, Sophie and Charlotte; and her sister Margaret Pelley (Fraser). She is predeceased by her eldest child Alan; her brothers, Billy and John; and her parents Molly and Stiven Gibson. Ann had a wide circle of family and friends across the globe. In addition to her devotion to family and friends, Ann was an avid traveller, reader, camper, volunteer and church member. All who knew her remember her loving generosity, kindness, courage, humour, and sparkle. A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Ann on Saturday October 13, 2018
