Vern Gerlitz
March 20, 1934 - November 7, 2019
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Vern Gerlitz on November 7, 2019, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Helen for 63 years; loving Dad to Sheryl Tweten (Art) and Susan Bown (Les); and Papa to Chad Tweten (Nicole), Jason Tweten (Heidi), Gabriel Bown, and Jakob Bown. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Vern was predeceased by his parents; sisters Eleanor and Betty; and brothers Ed and Bob.
Vern was an entrepreneur and worked many different jobs including sales, construction, renovating and trucking. Vern loved and cherished his time with family and friends and enjoyed numerous memorable family vacations, golf games, dinners, and celebrations.
Vern was an active member of McDougall United Church. Funeral service was held at McDougall on Friday, November 22, 2019.
