HUTA, Patricia Lorraine (nee Willis)
November 6, 1932 - April 25, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia (Pat) Huta, early in the morning on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 88 years. She was fondly known to many as "Grammy" or "Gramster".

Pat was a beautiful, loving, kind, gentle soul and she touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by her children Karen, Shelley (Alan), Cathy (Jeff) and her four grandchildren Taylor, Paige (Sean), Kyle (Carolyn) and Matt. Of special mention is her brother Robert (Bob) Willis and his late wife Theresa (Terry) Willis and their 4 children, with whom she was very close.

Family always came first to Pat... she was a devoted wife, mother and an exceptional Grammy! Her grandchildren were truly her greatest joy and she cultivated a very special relationship with each one of them. She was also a wonderful friend to many, too numerous to mention.

She was predeceased by both her parents, Garnet Willis (1973), Evelyn Willis (1988) and by the Love of her Life Theodore (Ted) Huta in 1987.

Pat was a Saskatchewan girl at heart, born and raised around the Smiley (Kindersley) area. Living and working in Saskatoon she met Ted at a University of Saskatoon dance, fell in love and they married in 1957. After numerous moves due to Ted's work, they finally settled in Calgary in 1973. She became actively involved with Oil Wives and Engineer's Wives of Calgary, and was a dedicated volunteer for 20+ years with Cancer Daffodil Days, Unicef Halloween School Program, and as an usher at Theatre Calgary.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Association, Canadian Kidney Foundation or Crohn's & Colitis Canada.

The family would like to extend an enormous THANK YOU to the staff on the 4th floor Memory Care unit at the Manor Village at Fish Creek Park in Southwest Calgary. We are beyond grateful for the kindness and loving care you provided to our mother.

In living memory of Patricia Huta, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area..
