Longest Night Service
Join us for a service that recognizes that - for many - the holidays can be a time when it is difficult to be merry; whether you are experiencing stress at work, the loss of a family member, or general unease about this particular holiday season. All are welcome to come for a quiet service of reflection and remembrance, as we hear a word of hope in the midst of our struggles, and look to the light in the darkness of the longest night of the year.
We will be lighting a candle on behalf of each the members we lost this year.

You can expect some amazing and delicious dishes, as Rev. Danah will showcase some New Orleans French quarter favourites. With a choice between seafood or meat (and vegetarian meals available upon request), our weekly offerings hope to entice any pallet.
THINKing together:
Using our upcoming Sundays’ Scripture reading as guide, Nik will help us explore themes raised in the advent season using the book “Awaiting the Already”.
PLAYing together:
With leader lead group activities designed to spiritedly engage our curiosity, we will use collective right brain thinking to take a deeper dive into the evenings' discussion.
Most of all, expect to have fun and great conversations.

Annual Christmas Lunch
McDougall and Ogden members are invited to the Annual Christmas Lunch
Date: Thursday, December 15, 22
Time: Punch - 12:30 pm, Lunch - 1:00 pm
Menu: Buffet style, hot, roast turkey; buns, cranberry sauce, mayo, dressing, tossed salad, fruit, punch, coffee and tea.
Dessert: Christmas baking provided by those attendees who would like to share their delicious homemade sweets with us all! A signup sheet will be available
Tickets: Will be for sale in the Hospitality Hall after church on Sundays in November and December, and at the November Friendship Club meeting. See Gord Degenhardt for tickets.
Cost: $10.00 cash.
Deadline to purchase tickets: Sunday, December 4, 2022.
Many volunteers will be needed to have the luncheon run smoothly, so, when purchasing your tickets, please consider signing the volunteer sheet to offer your services as you are able.

Advent/Christmas Decorations Day at McDougall - 10:00 am, Tuesday November 29th, 2022. Come for one hour to decorate the Sanctuary and Hospitality Hall.
A Charlie Brown Christmas: Sunday Performance
We are doing A Charlie Brown Christmas this year as our Christmas play this year.
There will be two performances, this is the Sunday, November 27th afternoon show.
Tickets are $10 (under 18 years old) or $15 (adult).
Following the performance, you will be encouraged to go to Hospitality Hall to enjoy a hot drink and dessert.
