Book Study: No Cure for Being Human

Join us for a weekly book study of Kate Bowler’s new book “No Cure For Being Human” starting March 10 and running every Thursday until April 7, 2022.

Meetings will happen at McDougall United as well as online through Zoom starting at 7pm.

Books can be purchased through the church for $20 or ordered through most Book Stores.

Kate Bowler was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at age 35. In No Cure for Being Human, with dry wit and unflinching honesty, Kate Bowler grapples with her diagnosis, her ambition, and her faith as she tries to come to terms with her limitations in a culture that says anything is possible. She finds that we need one another if we’re going to tell the truth: Life is beautiful and terrible, full of hope and despair and everything in between—and there’s no cure for being human.
