Wrap Up - Special Appeal for Mustafa’s extended family in Gaza

Mustafa’s brother Mahmoud sends this message to us:  “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you once again for standing with us during these challenging times. You were there for us when I arrived in Canada 7 years ago, and today, your support is helping our family survive this genocide. You demonstrate that humanity knows no boundaries of religion, ethnicity, or color. You are the true face of Canada."

The McDougall United/Christ Moravian Refugee Support Group also wishes to thank the congregation and other contributors for your support. Through the Special Appeal we have raised over $10,000. Mustafa and Mahmoud have liquidated all their savings and borrowed from friends to raise money.  These funds in combination with our donations have enabled them to raise the $25,000 US required to get their family members out of Gaza and into Egypt. It is hoped that this will occur on or about March 25, 2024. We will keep you up to date on progress getting their family members to safety.
