Palestinian Refugee Family Special Appeal: Week 4

Over the past few weeks the McDougall United/Christ Moravian refugee group has made a special appeal asking people to donate to enable Mustafa, the father of a Palestinian refugee family we supported, to help his extended family in Rafah to buy food and their necessities. Here is a picture of Mustafa’s family, the man we have been helping. He lives in Calgary with his immediate family.

Mustafa’s family before the war.

Mustafa has now applied to get his extended family out of Gaza and into Egypt and he hopes this will happen in the next 10-15 days at the most.  It is expensive to do this and the donations our church and community have given make a big difference. He and his brother who also lives in Calgary are using all their savings and will borrow money as well to get their family out of Gaza.  Mustafa wishes to thank you again for your financial support and also for reminding him that he is not alone.

If you would like to learn more about the situation in Palestine, we suggest the following artices.

If you prefer you can help Palestinians by making a donation to UNICEF, Doctors without Borders or the United Church. All donations are tax deductible.
