Opera Buddies Update With Testimonials

Opera Buddies is back on Thursday, April 6 at 4:30 pm in Hospitality Hall. Make sure you register to attend!

More About this Session: “Macbeth”

Our final session this season will be on Verdi's operatic version of Shakespeare's classic "Macbeth." In this four-class sequence, you will gain an appreciation for the music of one of opera's greatest composers, Giuseppe Verdi. In weeks one and two, you will explore opera as an artform, learn what to expect at the theatre, and gain insights into what to watch and listen for at the show. On the third week, come to the opera and watch the performance with a live orchestra, soloists, and chorus. To make the most of your experience, the final class is a guided reflection on the opera you just saw as well as suggestions for taking your learning further. Opera Buddies is great for newcomers to opera as well as those with some previous familiarity of opera.
