Opera Buddies is Back
Opera Buddies is back with registration open for the entire 2024-25 season! You can register to attend here or by clicking the poster below.
Opera Buddies registration includes a questionnaire which helps us tailor our programming to participants, and then payment ($20/opera) is made through the Calgary Opera ticketing site. Although our programming is no longer completely free, we believe that $20/opera is still amazing value!
New this year! Become an Opera Buddies Ambassador: if you have participated in one or more Opera Buddies sessions, you are eligible to attend dress rehearsals with an opera newcomer for $20 each! Contact Audience Services at 403-262-7286 to register. This opportunity pairs excellently with Unpacking Opera!
Due to high demand, Opera Buddies who have participated in 3 or more opera sessions and wish to register again will be placed on a wait list to allow newcomers to participate. Please let me know if you'd like to be on the wait list, and I will contact you if spaces open up! In the meantime, I'd encourage you to consider taking advantage of our other incredible opera discovery programs:
Unpacking Opera: a stand-alone, "mini-Opera Buddies" class held a few weeks before each opera - FREE
Opera Talks: Purchase a ticket to any mainstage performance and attend a free pre-show chat with a music historian or member of the creative team to introduce the show beforehand
Spotlight Series: an insider's look into the creative world and work of opera makers
