Mother’s Day - Order a meal for Pick Up
The Soup’s on Sunday group is excited to add to their repertoire by offering some meals that you can heat up at home and enjoy. What better day to try this out than Mother’s Day. You can pre-order your meal options up until Thursday, May 9th at 8 am and then pick them up following the service on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th. You can choose to enjoy the meal that evening or simply pop it in the freezer to enjoy at a later date. Perhaps you want to fill your freezer with family sized portions that you can cook for dinner on days you just don’t have time or maybe smaller lunch sized portions are more your style. This month we will have Shepherds Pie and Macaroni and Cheese. Each option will be available in multiple sizes. For dessert, you can also add some brownies to your order. All the money raised through the sale of these meals will go back to the church.
In addition to our meal pick up option, we will be doing our Soup’s on Sunday on May 19th. We are having a joint service for the long weekend with Red Deer Lake so you can enjoy a bowl of soup and meet some new people.
If you are interested in joining the cooking crew for some fun in the kitchen, we will have two dates to choose from. The first is May 10th starting at 10 am. The second is May 15th at 1 pm.
Soup’s on Sunday is part of our Marketing and Fundraising Group. We are working hard to raise money to support all the good work that the church does. There are many ways to support us through Soup’s on Sunday, they are listed below.
Pre-Order Your Meals - you can order your meals at the bottom of the page or by visiting McDougall’s Store.
Join us in the kitchen - touch base with Paula or send an email to Sarah if you are interested in helping
Sponsor a meal - Purchase a meal that we can give to someone who needs it. Any meals sponsored will go to Pastoral Care to be given out.
Donate Food - There is a list below of food items that we will need to make the meals. Best part is that you can submit your receipt for a gift in kind and get a tax receipt from the office.
Tell Your Friends - who doesn’t love delicious food at reasonable prices.
Thanks everyone for your support!
