Leadership Council Update

McDougall’s Leadership Council met twice this summer, on July 18 and again on August 17, to provide timely leadership related to the challenges experienced by our church due to the COVID19 pandemic. 

A July Leadership Council meeting was planned as it appeared that, without a serious reduction in our budgeted expenses, the church would accrue a significant budget deficit by year-end. To address this issue, Operations conducted a McDougall Priorities Survey of Council members prior to the July meeting to facilitate discussion related to McDougall’s programs, property, and administrative budgets for the remainder of the 2020 budget year. At the meeting, Council directed the Operations Working Group to use the priorities list approved by Council to develop budget options for Council to review at a mid-August Leadership Council meeting.
