Social Distance Hugs

Pat and Art headed for Palm Springs, California, before the Covid 19 was of concern.

We drove down with Cynthia and Rob and nicely got settled in the house Cynthia had rented when the fast-spreading virus was declared a pandemic. Though we managed to get in 2 games of golf, all golf course’s lounges and dining rooms were closed.

After a week in Indian Wells, we headed for Calgary as everything was closing in Palm Springs, and we wanted to get home before they closed the border. Pat spent her birthday travelling for 12 hours and her birthday dinner was fried chicken from the gas bars’ fast-food counter. Since arriving home on Tuesday, March 17, we are fine with no signs of the coronavirus and are self- isolating and spending our time watching a lot of TV. We have been fortunate that our son and daughter-in-law who were going to join us in Indian Wells had not left Calgary, so they are buying groceries etc. for us.

God bless and will see you when McDougall is back to normal.
